Sendcloud Return Labels Bring EU and International Returns to Exchange It

Exchange It now generates EU and international return labels through Sendcloud, across 170+ carriers. Bring your own keys and buy labels right where returns happen.

If you sell into Europe, return shipping is where the process tends to break down. A domestic-only label provider cannot cover a parcel coming back from another country, so cross-border returns fall back to manual labels, customer-paid postage, or no prepaid label at all. Today that gap closes: Exchange It now generates return labels through Sendcloud, built for EU and international returns across 170+ carriers.

Sendcloud joins Shippo and EasyPost as a built-in return-label provider, so the carrier network you already rely on in Europe now plugs straight into the returns flow. If you lean on exchanges to keep revenue in the store (see our take on an exchange-first returns strategy), a label step that works across borders is what keeps that flow smooth for every customer, not just the domestic ones.

What is new

Exchange It can now create return labels through Sendcloud, the shipping platform used widely across Europe. It is a bring-your-own-account integration: you connect your own Sendcloud keys, and Exchange It uses them to fetch return-capable shipping options and buy return labels on your behalf. All three providers now sit behind the same label layer, so you can run Shippo, EasyPost, Sendcloud, or any combination at once.

The simplest way to think about it: Exchange It no longer stops at domestic carriers. With Sendcloud connected, a return coming back from anywhere in Sendcloud's network gets a prepaid label in the same place your approvals already happen.

How it works

You will find the new controls at Settings > Shipping Integrations > Sendcloud Integration. Setup takes a minute:

  1. Turn on Show Sendcloud in my Return Shipping Label options. This toggle is off by default, and switching it on unlocks the key fields below.
  2. Enter your Sendcloud Public Key and Sendcloud Secret Key. You will find or create this key pair in your Sendcloud panel under Settings, Integrations, Sendcloud API.
  3. Save your settings. Both keys are encrypted on save, and Sendcloud immediately becomes a selectable option when you generate a return label.

For the full walkthrough, including how to replace a saved key, see the help article on configuring the Sendcloud integration.

What you can do

Once Sendcloud is active, it shows up anywhere Exchange It creates a return label:

  • Cover EU and international returns. Sendcloud is built for European and cross-border shipping, reaching 170+ carriers, so a return coming back from another country gets a prepaid label instead of a manual workaround.
  • Keep the carrier network you already use. You connect your own Sendcloud account, so returns run on the carriers and rates you have already negotiated, right inside the approval flow.
  • Compare rates across providers. When you generate a label, the rate picker merges rates from every active provider and groups them under clear headers, so a Sendcloud return option sits side by side with Shippo and EasyPost and you can pick the best one per return.

Nothing changes for returns you have already processed. Existing labels and their tracking keep working exactly as before, and you can add Sendcloud without disturbing anything already in flight.

Built to be safe

  • Your keys stay encrypted. The public and secret keys are encrypted when you save, shown masked afterward, and never exposed back to the browser. To rotate a key, clear the field, enter the new value, and save again.
  • You stay in control. Return options come from your own Sendcloud account, so the carriers, rates, and contracts in play are the ones you set up, not ours.

Availability

Shipping label integrations, Sendcloud included, are part of the Advanced plan. On other plans the Sendcloud controls are disabled and you will see an option to upgrade in their place. If you are already on Advanced, Sendcloud is live for you now at no extra cost.

Get started

Open Settings > Shipping Integrations > Sendcloud Integration, flip the toggle on, and paste your Sendcloud public and secret keys. Your next EU or international return can go out on a prepaid Sendcloud label in the approval flow you already use. Prefer Shippo or EasyPost for domestic returns? Keep them: run all three together and let the rate picker surface the best option per return.

Sendcloud is the latest in a run of integrations we have shipped, following EasyPost return labels and a read-only AI assistant for your store. New to Exchange It? Install it from the Shopify App Store, or browse the help center to see everything it can do.
